Bob Vorres has been fixing VWs for over 30 years. Bob came to Tucson Arizona in 1978 riding on a bicycle direct from Chicago Illinois. The trip only took two weeks! Shortly thereafter, Bob being factory trained and dealer certified, easily found work in small shops and with local dealers.

After a few years in Tucson, Bob decided to break away and created a company called "Bob‘s Bug Service". This worked out so well that in 1983 he expanded and built his own garage at 20 East Glenn Street. It was during this effort, that coworkers dubbed him "Uncle Bob". Soon after the garage located at 20 East Glenn, Tucson, Arizona was doing very well. Uncle Bob collected and repaired more and more cars. The city told Uncle Bob he had too many cars and needed to open a car lot. So in 1988, Uncle Bob purchased more property connected on the West side and expanded with an additional car lot located at 2762 North Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ. This worked for a while but Uncle Bob now needed to expand once again.

In 1990, Uncle Bob moved the car lot to 5 acres located at 240 East Grant Road, Tucson, AZ with 100 cars. This has worked very well. In 2000, Uncle Bob purchased another piece of property adjacent to the Garage increasing the "Uncle Bob" empire. This will be the future office and main car lot located at 2780 North Stone. The office will handle all the services provided by Uncle Bob.
